Scenario 1 ChromaChecker Capture

 

A. Automated solution based on X-Rite iSis 1/2 

One iSis device can perform automated measurements for dozens of printers in one plant. Each print condition (press/substrate) has a unique barcode (which ChromaChecker generates automatically) that is interpreted automatically when the target is measured, and the data is uploaded to the specific track. 

ChromaChecker Capture driving the X-Rite iSis will recognize barcodes automatically, this capability requires minimal skills from the operator, the printed page just needs to be inserted into instrument properly, the measurement, the interpretation and routing of the measurement to the right track is all automatic.

A report showing the result of the print is displayed real time to help the press operator know if they can start production if the Color Conformance values is within required Expectations (E-Factor).

 

B. Semi-automated solution based on any supported Instrument driven by ChromaChecker Capture equipped with the barcode reader.

Any Instrument - like i1Pro1/2 can be used to collect data. The Operator scans the barcode into Capture before measurement. The barcode automatically configures Capture with the correct instrument, color bar and track, all the operator needs to do is measure the color bar, no manual choices for operator. This unique function will improve productivity and upload data in the most effective way possible, eliminating any chance for operator error.

C. Manual solution -The press operator using Capture selects the print condition (Indigo on Coated paper) and measures the control strip

Good and fast method but an operator may select improperly condition, but very effective for short choice of print conditions. In the case where proofer's operator scans color bar/one device /one track - it works without any risk of a human mistake.

Scenario 2 ChromaChecker Uploader

Automatic uploading color data using existing infrastructure.

If you have automated measurement devices that can export color data automatically (like X-Rite Intellitrax), ChromaChecker Uploader creates a "bridge" between your existing software and the ChromaChecker server

In this scenario, there no need for Internet access for any computers in the production area. The exported color files are sent to directories where ChromaChecker uploader installed on an office computer has HTTP access. ChromaChecker Uploader will securely upload the file using SOAP protocol. 

Data uploading takes place in the background without operator intervention.

For locations with limited access to the Internet, the application allows for a configuration using an intermediary server.

 

 

 

Scenario 3:  3rd Party Apps with direct ChromaChecker Compatibility

3rd party solutions that support direct uploading using the ChromaChecker API, or FTP Export

More and more programs are adding the ChromaChecker API which allows these third party applications directly to the ChromaChecker user account. In the application, the user provides login information for establishing a connection to the users ChromaChecker account. The upload of data occurs in the background with automation built into ChromaChecker compliant applications. Scenario 4 

Manual mode

Drag and drop technology allows for fast and easy uploading of data to the desired track. In most situations, up to 20 files can be transmitted in a single operation. The disadvantage is that it requires basic knowledge related to what data should be dragged to which icon, this procedure is sensitive to humans error. This method is designed for experts and knowledgeable users.
