Welcome to Instrument Inspector (no baseline)

Instrument Inspector - Creating a Baseline

The easiest way to create a baseline is to use CC Capture - it will automatically guide the user to create a baseline for your Target /Instrument combination.  Another way is to create it from existing measurements, however, for most users baseline autogenerated by CC Capture is the best way.

How to Baseline your Instrument

The baseline sets the current condition of the instrument and will verify that the instrument is performed to specification. Once baselined, you can check your instrument on a defined schedule and satisfy the requirements for ISO compliance verification and reporting. If you are using

  1. Chromachecker Capture, you select the Green Instrument Inspector icon in Capture and the software will guide you through the steps based on the instrument you are using.
  2. ChromaChecker Uploader, you can create a task that will provide the scan of the target to the Instrument Inspector.
  3. In a third-party application, you can upload the baseline data into Instrument Inspector by logging into the cloud as an "Expert" and navigating to "Instrument Inspector/Baseline".

What is Instrument Inspector Baseline for?

  1. It is an averaged "fingerprint" of how Instrument "see" measured Target. Instrument Inspector can evaluate short-tern and long-term instrument repeatability.
  2. Baselines enable inter-instrument comparison
  3. The baseline can be compared to see trends
  4. Baselines enable comparisons of different measurement modes - e.g. scan vs. spot and more
