CC_Display_TEST Workflows

Basic set of workflows

  • Basic Uniformity Test 3x3 - 1st workflow to run. Assesses uniformity of display. If it is not uniform it should not be used for critical color evaluation e.g. soft-proofing or color editing. This is the smallest possible evaluation schema (for professional usage 5x5 test is highly recommended)

  • Gamut Test - 2nd workflow to run. Very simple workflow that evaluates monitor gamut for existing display settings. Simple ICC profile collects information about the colorspace boundaries to make gamut assessment to determine if it can accurately simulate the target colorspace.

  • Lighting Conditions - this workflow guides user to measure Lighting Conditions and automatically stores the data for Lighting Inspector. Please note that a spectrophotometer (i1Pro or Myiro1) is required to read the SPD curve that can be used for future evaluation.

  • GRACoL Simulation - very basic evaluation - based on a few points determines if display is capable to simulate GRACoL CMYK gamut. Note that a full ISO evaluation is a separate workflow that takes more time

  • Verify Corporate Colors - This workflow measures a sample color library and evaluates the display gamut to determine if the colors can be rendered accurately.  The list contains 8 color samples.  It is very easy to import any color library to the workflow to make your own custom evaluations.

    ___________

  • _A-Cal 160 D50 — a sample of Automatic Calibration (no profiling!) that can set the display to D50 at 160 cd/m2, the tonal response is set to gamma =1.8. The user may activate this calibration using CC-Display or a helper application

  • _M-Cal 150 L 4000K — a sample of Automatic Calibration (no profiling!) that can set the display to 4000K at 150 cd/m2 with Tonal Response set to L*. The user may activate this calibration using CC-Display or a helper application.

    NOTE:
When at least two calibrations are executed the user will be able to simply switch between setting to understand how different settings can be managed on the display.

Temporary available Profiling Workflows

For a limited period of beta-testing, we are offering two workflows that calibrate, profile and verify the Display.

  • ICC 140 D50 L E — This workflow calibrates display to D50 at 140 cd/m2, L* tonal response, next profile is created and in the final step verification is performed.

  • ICC 140 D75 L E — This workflow calibrates display to D75 at 140 cd/m2, L* tonal response, next profile is created and in the final step verification is performed.
