Printer Profiling for Designers and Photiographers
Most Designers and Photographers have ink-jet or laser color printers. Sometimes those printers allow printing large-size printouts. It is not very rare the especially photographers own ink-jet printers capable to print on substate on the roll. Those high-resolution devices are mainly directly connected to the computer - no additional RIP is involved in image processing.
In such a scenario, the printer works as an RGB device - of course, it uses typical CMYK+ inks but from a data perspective, this device is expecting RGB data - typically produced by popular software and used in webpages.
ChromaChecker offers a simple solution that can build RGB ICC Profile for the system
To make it happen a spectrophotometer or colorimeter capable to measure printer patches is required.
