Messenger — Plugin Terms

These Plugin Terms supplement the ChromaChecker End-User License Agreement (the "EULA") and apply only if you install or use the Messenger Plugin. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the EULA. In the event of conflict, these Plugin Terms prevail for matters specific to this Plugin; the EULA governs everything else (EULA §2.4).

1. What this Plugin does

Messenger is team chat inside CC Capture — messages and notifications between the people working on a job. It is an embedded view of a chat service hosted by ChromaChecker at capture2.chromachecker.com.

2. What you send is stored on the server

Messages, attachments and the identity of who sent them are held on ChromaChecker's server so that a conversation survives closing the application, and so a colleague who was not at the machine can read it. They are subject to the ChromaChecker Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Treat it as a record, not as a private aside. Messages can be read later by anyone with access to the conversation, and by ChromaChecker staff administering the service.

3. Sessions on the workstation

The Plugin signs in through the embedded browser and keeps its session cookies in that browser's own storage on the workstation, separate from the machine's ordinary web browsers. Signing out clears them, so the next operator is asked for credentials — do that at the end of a shift on a shared workstation.

4. Third parties

None. The service is ChromaChecker's own, running on ChromaChecker infrastructure.

Changes to this document

This document is versioned. A new version replaces this text at the same address, and the version you accepted is recorded by the application. Every earlier version is kept in the revision history below, so the text your Organisation agreed to can always be produced.
