QuickCheck

QuickCheck is a default Color Inspector tool offered by CC Capture (available soon).

Based on defaults CC Capture is ready for a single measurement. Triggering it on the interface or on the instrument will display basic information - spectral curve and coordinates for predefined Color Specification ( a combination of Observer, Illuminant, M-condition, and other parameters).

A report is created in a couple of sections:

1. Best Match to default Asset (Color Library or Palette)

If you have for example "Pantone Coated" in your Assets and this library is defined as a default - CC Capture will compare the measured sample and will find the closest value.  The system will report differences ( e.g. ∆E2000 or any other defined in the selected asset).

Plain English Guidelines.

Operators with a Basic advancement level will get additional guidelines in plain English (example):

The measured sample is more saturated and lighter than the reference. Hue is correct.

Ink GPS

If the user measures an additionally Substrate (dedicated feature) the Perifarb simulation will guide the Operator on how to adopt density to get a smaller deviation to reference

The user may change auto-recognized references and point to any other manually. An additional feature is to save measurement to Assets (based on Operator's advancement level - Basic Operator can write to Color Palletes but NOT Libraries)

2. QC Tracking Auto-recognize

If the default Product is selected system will search for the closest Element/Track defined in the QC Tracking database. A report based on predefined tolerancing will be displayed.

The Operator can save data to the QC Tracing database

3. Convert

Based on default ICC profiles system will translate measured samples to RGB, CMYK/n-CLR, and sRGB HEX coordinates with ∆E estimation.

4. Report +

This is Expert-level reporting (requires such Operator's advancement level) and provides additional analysis in the following subsections:

  • Metamerism (MI)
  • Fluorescence (FI, OBA's Index)
  • Color Constancy (CCI)
  • Spectral Glossiness
  • Color Density (CMYK or/and Spectral)
  • Whiteness, Yellowness
  • Color Fastness
  • Color Strength
  • others (based on potential user requests)
