EIZO ColorEdge Sensor
The monitor measures itself.
EIZO ColorEdge CG-series monitors carry a motorised sensor inside the bezel. This plugin uses it, so those displays can be measured and calibrated with no external instrument at all.
What it does for you
A calibration that needs somebody to fetch a colorimeter, find the cable and hold it against the glass is a calibration that happens monthly at best. A monitor that measures itself can do it overnight, every night.
For a proofing station that is the difference between a display you trust and one you hope about.
What you can do
- Drive the built-in sensor on CG2700X, CG319X, CG279X and other CG models
- Measure white point and luminance without touching the screen
- Feed the same display analysis as an external instrument would
Getting started
Enable EIZO ColorEdge Sensor in the Plugin Manager. The monitor must be a CG-series model with the built-in sensor and connected over USB as well as video.
Part of ChromaChecker CC Capture. Plugins are enabled in Plugins -> Plugin Manager. This page describes the plugin as of CC Capture 4.0.570.
