Simple PDF is a lightweight viewer for procedure documents - work instructions, checklists, standards - with no colour management and no Ghostscript.
What it does for you
The standard operating procedure is usually a PDF in a folder nobody can find from the press. Putting it behind one button in the application people already have open is the difference between a procedure that is followed and one that exists.
Being deliberately simple is the point: it opens instantly, and it will never be mistaken for a soft proof.
What you can do
- Up to three source locations - local folders or cloud
- One filename pattern across all of them, so the right documents appear and nothing else does
- An Open button listing everything that matches, wherever it lives
Getting started
Enable Simple PDF in the Plugin Manager and set your locations and file pattern in its settings.
Not for colour. There is no colour management here - for that, use Softproofing.
